Course Overview
In this course, we will study Psalms 55:22 — “Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and He shall sustain thee.” — to learn how to seek strength and rest from the Savior amid stress, responsibility, and life’s various stages and challenges.
As disciples of Jesus Christ, our bodies are temples given by Him. Caring for our bodies is not about pursuing outward standards but about cultivating the strength through faith and hope to support our families, uplift one another, and walk in the light of the Lord.
This course integrates the Word of Wisdom with medical principles to explore common physical and emotional burdens that women face, weight management and issues related to metabolic syndrome. It will provide realistic, gentle, and actionable health strategies. Together we will learn:
- How to find strength in the Lord instead of relying solely on willpower
- How to view our bodies and weight with gentle perspective
- How prayer, temperance, gratitude, rest, and small daily actions can cultivate harmony of body, mind, and spirit
May we learn to place our burdens upon the Lord—no more punishing ourselves, but allowing His grace to carry us forward. By becoming stronger and more gentle, and filled with light, we can bless our families and the Church.Course Goals:
